
Fri 21 May 2010 Manchester Camerata takes a trip round the capital cities of Europe in their Paris, London, Vienna concert. Mozart wrote his vivacious Paris Symphony to appeal to local tastes, whilst Haydn’s Symphony No.4, written in London, has references to Croatian folk tune in its exuberant final movement. Their whistle-stop tour stops off in Vienna with Mozart’s Piano Concerto, which was written and premiered in the city.
